Beerwah @ Daybreak Marathon 🍍 Who doesn’t love a 3am start on a Sunday?! One of the highlights of this morning is most definitely that @markrunsaround took this trophy preso shot in “food mode” 🥘😂 Nailed it Mark. Thanks. Others include: 🍍 Having the courage to run a trail marathon with no Garmin/no recording device whatsoever. A little celebration of my almost one year anniversary on the unbelievable SWAP team. Anyone who knows how dependent I used to be on my Garmin knows this is a BIG DEAL! I LOVED the freedom of it and will defo race that way again 🦄 Seriously joyful running. 🍍 Good karma being repaid in spades when earlier in the race I backtracked to take a fellow runner who was cramping some salty crisps I remembered I had in my pack after I’d passed him. Only for me to spend the last 15kms in hideous pain with feet and leg cramps that sent me to the ground on numerous occasions - and to have so many lovely people help me get back on my feet - what a community this trail running tribe is 🙏🏻 🍍 And of course, the checkpoint hugs & the general cheeriness of the vollies standing out in the rain 🙏🏻 It was a super challenging day out there and I loved seeing everyone rock it amidst the slip and slide conditions!
